Definition of Personal Information

In this Privacy Policy, personal information refers to the information defined in Article 2, Paragraph 1 of the Personal Information Protection Act. Specifically, it refers to information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual through details such as name, date of birth, or other descriptions contained in the information (including information that can be easily cross-referenced with other information to identify a specific individual), or information that includes personal identification codes.

Purpose of Use of Personal Information

COTTON RESEARCH CLUB (hereinafter referred to as "our shop") uses the personal information of individual and corporate customers (hereinafter referred to as "users") for the following purposes:

1. To provide services of our shop.
2. To provide guidance, respond to inquiries, and other communications related to our shop's services.
3. To provide information about our shop's products, services, etc.
4. To address violations of the terms, policies, etc. (hereinafter referred to as "terms") related to our shop's services.

Changes to the Purpose of Use of Personal Information

Our shop will not handle personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use without the user's consent, except as permitted by the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations. However, the following cases are exceptions:

2. When it is necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property, and obtaining the user's consent is difficult.

4. When it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government agency or its designee in executing legally prescribed duties, and obtaining the user's consent may hinder the execution of those duties.

Proper Acquisition of Personal Information

Our shop will acquire personal information properly and will not acquire it through false or other improper means.

Safety Management of Personal Information

Our shop will take necessary and appropriate measures to ensure the safety management of personal information to prevent risks such as loss, destruction, alteration, and leakage. We will also appropriately supervise employees handling personal information. Additionally, if we outsource the handling of personal information, we will ensure that the contractor appropriately manages the safety of the personal information.

Provision to Third Parties

Our shop will not provide personal information to third parties without the user's prior consent, except as permitted by the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations. However, the following cases do not fall under the provision to third parties as defined above:

1. When personal information is provided in connection with outsourcing all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use.
2. When personal information is provided as part of a business transfer due to a merger or other reasons.
3. When personal information is shared in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Information Protection Act.

Disclosure of Personal Information

When a user requests disclosure of personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act, our shop will confirm that the request is from the user themselves and disclose the information without delay (if the personal information does not exist, we will notify the user of that fact). However, this does not apply if our shop is not obligated to disclose the information under the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations.

Correction of Personal Information

If a user requests correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "correction, etc.") of personal information on the grounds that it is not true, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act, our shop will confirm that the request is from the user themselves, conduct the necessary investigation without delay, and based on the results, make the correction, etc., and notify the user. If we decide not to make the correction, etc., we will notify the user of that decision. However, this does not apply if our shop is not obligated to make corrections, etc., under the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations.

Suspension of Use of Personal Information

If a user requests the suspension or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "suspension of use, etc.") of personal information on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the disclosed purpose of use or was obtained through improper means, in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act, and if it is found that the request has a valid reason, our shop will confirm that the request is from the user themselves, suspend the use, etc., without delay, and notify the user. However, this does not apply if our shop is not obligated to suspend use, etc., under the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations.

Use of Cookies and Other Technologies

Our shop's services may use cookies and similar technologies. These technologies help our shop understand the usage status of our services and contribute to service improvement.
